In case anyone's waiting...

... for me to post about Being Human US, it will happen, but I need to get caught up on some writing people are waiting on for professional purposes first. The Evil Sinus Blergh kinda bolluxed up my week in that regard.

I will briefly say that I'm by no means sold, but seeing potential, and actually rather taken with Sally. Which appears to be a staggeringly unpopular opinion. (Because, y'know, I never have those. *wry g*)

Also, as noted on Twitter this morning:
Rebecca = Lauren.
Cara = Becca, and potentially also Cara?
Aidan = Mitchell.
Brain = pretzel. %-}

I did watch it while I did other things the other day.

I'm having the same physics issues I have with "out of phase" episodes of every scifi show ever when it comes to the ghost girl.

She can't move dust, but she can sit on a sofa without falling through?

Other than that, it's a DVRable show, but nothing I'm (yet) terribly excited over.

Because she is an actual ghost? I mean, matter out of phase is still matter, and once you ask that question in a sci-fi context, you can't answer it without asking why they're apparently being affected by gravity in the same way as the in-phase people around them, and then it all just spins out of control.

But Sally's matter is busy decomposing somewhere else entirely. If her substance is anything physically measurable, it's energy, and the behavior of that energy is apparently governed almost entirely by her subconscious. It's only an illusion that the couch is holding her up at all; it makes no sense for gravity to be pulling her down in the first place. Her form and position are defined by thought.

Sally was more or less the only part of it that's working so far for me, and I'm kind of worried that that's only because Annie didn't until about episode 1.05, so it's a Faint Praise sort of thing... {sigh}

One thing I'm pretty sure of is that we've only seen the tiniest glimpse of who each of them really is. The house isn't even remotely a safe space yet. They're all still wearing their emotional armor of choice.
