A proper con report will still happen, but no energy for it right now, as I've come down hard with the Con Crud. Why hasn't someone found a way to get rich off excess mucus yet?

Wow, looks like you had a lot of costume changes! Impressive...

Sorry, but if I remember my Economics for Dummies, you'd probably need to make it rare before you could get rich off it. Granted, if it was made rare, that might solve your problem in a different way...

Well, it was over 4 days, so that helped. The only really crazy change was Supergirl to Daisy between the Legion photoshoot and the Being Human panel, and that was only a rush due to scheduling. Everything else was pretty laid-back. Especially after I decided that one green person in the family was enough for one con, and skipped Gaila. :-)

My camera got better pics off the rail. I'll send 'em to you when I upload.

She did indeed! Her costume is not so spiffy close-up, but it worked for the shoot. It was kindasorta made in the hotel room the night before (handstitched seams and all).

This is better than the flag, which was cut out in the seating area of the lobby that morning, then cobbled together with Stitch Witchery and fabric paint. I maybe possibly had a few projects for this con...

Silly me... when I saw that you had stricken through the "excess mucus" line I was HOPING that you'd found the cure! Nothing in comments though!

Advice welcome.... (Am on Advil Cold & Sinus. It's keeping me at work but I'm still miserable)

Alas, no. Though the stockpile is building in the Kleenex in the trash, so if you hear of anything...

Well, those were some pics! I loved the people who really acted out their characters, they were the best.

Of all your costumes, I'd have to say that Natasha was the best. You look the most authentic with red hair (weird I know since you're a natural blonde)!

It probably also helps that that's exensions, while the others are full wigs.

I'm really pleased with how the Natasha outfit turned out, and it was certainly the most work, so I'll happily accept the compliment! :-)

Ah, good point. Although you looked good with the Daisy wig.

Were I to go a step further and say which costume you looked most in character in, I would say Daisy.

Have you ever noticed that there are a lot of people who look best wearing a hair color they weren't born with? I think that's rather amusing. Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Morrison look best as brunettes. Scarlett Johanson (and you) looks best as a redhead and so on.

It is kind of funny. And makes me glad we can play with it so easily!

Great shots! However, somehow I managed to completely miss you & brainiacfive in the parade. :/

Well, I was marching with a Nick Fury, with the double-take-inducing Christopher Reeve lookalike right next to us and the giant Marvel Mini-Mates just behind. And [Bad username: brainiacfive"] was in among a whole GL Corps. So we were pretty easy to miss.

Phabulous photos!

Some year I have to make it to a DragonCon. So many good friends having so much fun.

I snortlaughed at your description on this photo that the hotel atrium looked like a Giger painting.

I don't remember now whether it's the Atlanta Hilton or the Hyatt that has (had?) elevators with recorded announcements that sounded just like [the original] Cylons. During the 1986 WorldCon, a certain somebody (not me!) stuck a small label on one of those elevators: "Another fine product of the Sirius Cybernetic Corporation". Which caused me to laugh like a loon when I saw it, to the alarm of the hotel housekeeper who was standing outside the door when it opened on my floor.

Ha! That's hilarious. The Hilton elevators talk, but no longer sound like Centurions. They could, however, be Number Six.
