PSA for the dolly-minded

I. Love. This. Stuff.

With the exception of a faint spot next to her eyebrow that I missed the first time, there is now no discernible trace of hair dye anywhere on Mini-Hathor except her hair.

Eight bucks seemed kinda pricey for that little jar, but it's going to go a LONG way. It's a very thick paste that you apply with a toothpick (or with a pin around cosmetic features, as it will lift paint), so there's exceptional control of where it goes and it's easy to put any excess back in the jar.

This gives me an exceeding happy.

Mini-Hathor? Do you have a pic of this? :)

Not yet. I just caved and bought a cheapie digital camera on clearance at Meijers (one of the ones so cheap the word "megapixel" doesn't even appear anywhere on the packaging). I've been resisting that, figuring I'd wait and get a proper one; but at $20 I could afford to pick this one up for a backup in the meantime. :-)

Hathor is a work-in-progress -- no clothes or anything yet. So far all I've done is color her hair because it turned out to be more honey blonde in person than the red it looked in the picture. She's in the process of being customized from an Alexandra Fairchild Ford I picked up on the cheap on eBay for the purpose. She's a 16' vinyl, Madame Alexandra's entry into the market created when Asthon-Drake's Gene took off like gangbusters in '95. Also need to do a slight paint customization on her -- Alex has green eyes, and the baby pink manicure needs to get Hathorized too.

I'm also doing an Osiris with a very pretty 16" porcelain who came with a hideous dress and a rather devious expression. ;-) I'll put up pics of both soon.

Don't feel too badly about the cheapie camera. I picked up mine when I signed up with Earthlink a while back. It takes some good pictures, even if the resolution is kind of small.

Looks like you find very creative ways to keep busy, hehe. Good luck working on Hathor and Osiris - can't wait to see the pics!

I will have to remember to tell rufusblue about your success...*G* He recently had a bad experience with an outfit he had made for him putting a stain on the forehead of one of his Momokos! He got it removed...fortunatly...but it's always nice to have multiple methods. ^_^

BTW...your Mini-Hathor? Vinyl? Porcelin? Can't remember [can't spell, either...LOL]

Vinyl. According to the directions, you can also use this stuff on porcelain and bisque, but I haven't had occasion yet to use it and find out the results. I do have a bisque unicorn musical that got mildew stains on it when I moved from Colorado and some boxes got wet, tho, so I may try it on that.
