Not sure three years qualify as "many," but I try not to look a nice writeup in the mouth. :-)

Hurrah for good reviews!

(But-- I thought you were Charlotte Lucas, not the Pemberley housekeeper. I'm so easily confused.)

I'm both. There's quite a bit of double-casting. I think we're unanimous that the funniest fallout is the same guy playing Bingley and Col. Fitzwilliam, which means the bulk of his lines as the latter are about his other self. :-D

Just to confuse matters further, my costume for the publicity shoot is actually Charlotte's day dress. (Made over from one of Lucy's costumes last year. Never let it be said non-profit theatre doesn't know how to get the most out of all available resources!)

Weird. I don't think you told me about the double-casting. Given that the article points out the number of folks turning out for the auditions, do you know why they went that route? Potentially confusing.

It was originally written that way. Larger companies like Stratford have split it all out, but it means a cast of 30+ with a lot of extremely small roles. In most cases, one scene with just a few lines.

It's very clear in the dialogue who everyone is at any given time. Benefit of Regency society and the necessity of proper introductions. :-)

That's great! Non-profit theatre should get more free advertising like this. :)

Excellent!

And I'm much relieved to know you're still playing Charlotte Lucas. :)
