Drive-by giggle

It's possible there's been too much NCIS-watching in my house for the last, oh, several months.

For the subject line "[client's name redacted] Ded Marine Claim" ... Let's just say deductible on boat insurance is not the first place my brain went.

(Real update... er... sometime. Probably Sunday. This is the weekend of playing Intrepid Reporter Tara Kyles, and I'm really hoping we get the temperatures in the forecast but not the rain, as there is much outdoor shooting...)

LOL! I actually had to sit there and figure what else it COULD mean. ;)

I don't think there CAN be too much NCIS, can there?

I would certainly argue that there is no such thing, based on my evidence of trying to OD on it for the last three months. ;)

Where's Ducky with the van? :D

I'm fascinated by the number of people devouring it like popcorn. I wonder how much of it is the saturation airing by USA and now Ion, and how much is something about the show itself.

It's become the default "something to throw on the TV" around here. There's always at least one ep in the Suggestions folder on the TiVo.

I've been surprised, too. One of my friends has been watching from the get-go, but I am a new convert. I caught a few episodes while in Reno in Oct. and I've been hooked ever since. I think I have made a convert of one of my roommates, too, in addition to more of my friends who're now hooked. It's interesting. I think the saturation helps, but I think in general, it's a good show. :)

It's also easy to watch in completely random order. There's stuff that affects the characters down the road, but you don't necessarily have to have seen it to get what's going on with them.

This is true. I really like the stuff that carries over, as it helps things feel more real, but because of the structure of the show, it doesn't really matter if you've seen them in any order. I know I didn't! It was at least a month before I found out what really happened to Kate.

Don't remember when I started watching, but I know it was the new stuff. And then I went out and got all the previous seasons on DVD and did marathon sessions to catch up. And THEN USA started airing them. Ha.

LOL! That's what I thought. Well, that and "Dude, 'ded' for 'dead' is cute on teh interwebs, but really, at work?"

I think NCIS has become the new fannish plague. It seems to be infesting my f'list at a rapidly accelerating rate. :)

Yup. I know a number of people who've been watching it from the beginning, but lately it's exploded.

I look forward so happily to new episodes of NCIS. At this point, I think I've seen all but a handful of the old episodes, from when I went AWOL for a while after Kate died...

Thanks for sharing. :-) And break a leg as the Intrepid Reporter!

Speaking of weather, we had hail twice this week. Little balls of ice! Here! In March!

Never mind lions and lambs. March comes in like a hippogriff and goes out like a jabberwocky. I don't think I've ever lived anywhere that March wasn't all over place.

I used to watch it regularly. (How could I not? It's Mark Harmon and David McCallum!) I lost access to CBS for a couple of years until a few months ago, so I'm behind on continuity.

My continuity is still in the jigsaw-puzzle stage, but it works surprisingly well for that.
