Sugar shock

pink_blasphemy is an evil, evil creature who brought candy corn Hershey's Kisses to Office of Doom. I am so not allowed to buy a whole bag of these things, because I will quite possibly eat them until I am sick.

Meanwhile, I continue to be amazed at the complete inability of so very many people to ANSWER THE QUESTION I ASKED, for the love of baby kittens! It occurred to me today that Sarah Palin having that particular handicap -- typically regarded as a quintessential politician's disease -- may ironically be the one thing about her that actually rings true with her oh-so-synthetic "ordinary citizen" persona.

Candy corn kisses? Hunh... I'll have to try those...

As you can probably tell, I agree much more with the second review on that page. I'm not sure where the first one got licorice from. And I'm not particularly fond of licorice, so I think I would have noticed.

I didn't see any when I was at WalMart today, but will keep looking around, because I'm curious...

pink_blasphemy said she's only found them at Target around here.

I love candy corn, although I have so far resisted the usual annual bag purchase. So you agree with the second review that these Kisses taste remarkably like real candy corn? Hmmmmm.

I think the predominant flavor is still the white chocolate, but there's a definite twist, and it's definitely candy-corn-like.

Um, technically speaking, aren't the people who are evading your answers one baby step away from being out-and-out crooks?

I mean, given who you're generally dealing with at the Office of Doom.

(Is it the Office of Doom?)

Nah, I don't deal directly with debtors. Just bang my head trying to get information from clients and the attorneys on our side. And occasionally my management.

It's not so much evasion as failure to pay attention to what's being asked. They think they're giving me the information I need. Then I have to reply with "No, I know that. I asked THIS." Only more polite.

erg. Yeah, that. Been there.

(Did I mention that I once told one of the senior partners the joke about how the profession would be a lot more enjoyable if it weren't for the clients? And that the senior partner almost doubled over in laughter over a joke I would have only rated a three-and-a-half on a one-to-ten scale?)

I'm trying to imagine how such a candy is not terrible. Mostly because I hate candy corn.

You can have my allotment.

Although I think I should see if any place has this to give my Dad some. He's a fan of the original and likes white chocolate more than regular chocolate.

Candy is a food on which my family and I do not agree. :->

Mostly because I hate candy corn.

That would really make it not work, yes.

Most of my family is indifferent to candy corn, but really doesn't get my thing for white chocolate. Perhaps we were switched. ;-D

I was just thinking about people who can't answer the questions put to them! I'm amazed by Palin in that regard. It's gotten to the point of painful. I saw an interview with her and McCain by Brian Williams yesterday and I was so tempted to just switch channels.

Re: Funny...
The whole campaign has gotten so surreal. I feel like we're all going to find out we're on Candid Camera any minute.

ZOMG those candy corn kisses look like amazing tasties...we don't have anything like that in the UK. Around this time of year people are selling toffee apples, which are irresistibly nice but which also break my teeths :-/

If it makes you feel any better, I can only get Cadbury's Creme Eggs from about the beginning of the year until Easter. I buy them in bulk and freeze them to ration through the year.
