Collapsing in a heap now

First day of tech. Which, thanks to the stomach flu rampaging through her kids' school and now her household, happened without our Lucy. I covered today's rehearsal for her (on book -- gone are the days when I knew everyone's lines by this point!) as well as doing my own roles (I'm only in one scene with her, and she's asleep the whole time I'm there... that was a wee bit schizo!) and dude, I am wiped. Way too intense a show not to give everyone else the energy they need to play off -- I've been in that position of trying to rehearse opposite a warm body reading the words, and yea verily, it doth suck. Plus, hey, my shot at the Bloofer Lady, after all, even if it wasn't a performance. A little exhaustion never hurt anybody, right?

Mina also suspects she's coming down with something. Good health vibes in the direction of both ladies (along with the rest of us!) would be much appreciated.

All the carpentry parts of the set are there; we're still trying to imagine some drapery. And a few props, although most of them were there today.

Lucy's crypt is VERY deep. I think they said they're putting something in the bottom of it, which would be wise, as Christina is quite a bit shorter than I am, and my hand could barely be seen above the edge of it for the death throes. And climbing into it, even with my legs, was... not the most graceful thing ever.

On an unrelated note, I'm trusting that a fang flying right out of my mouth in the last scene today means it won't happen in front of an audience.

Time's up on the hair color. Shower, steam and beddy-bye.

gone are the days when I knew everyone's lines by this point!

I honestly never though I'd live to see that happen!

Oh, it was inevitable. And always less likely when it's not Shakespeare anyway.

the stomach flu is raging on both sides of the Atlantic, it seems-- half the department is ill. ::careful, sterile hugs::

Apparently Christina got a notice from the county health department and everything. Of course, it had a misprint, which resulted in some poor guy getting a zillion worried parents calling him on his cell. Our tax dollars at work...

Freak accident, that I trust will not be repeated. No idea how it came loose. I have a bit of a tussle with Van Helsing, and it just went "Wheeeeeee!" and landed on the floor in front of the stage...
