I R speshul!

Or that's the theory, anyway. Last seen with maiac:

* Post 3 things you've done that you believe nobody else on your F-list has done.
* If anybody responds with "I've done that," add another thing.
* Encourage your friends to paste this into their own journal to list the unique things they've done.

I rather like this latest permutation of the "weird stuff I've done" meme. Let's see what I've got that I don't think I've used before...

1. Played Chorus, Montjoy and Princess Katherine in the same production of Henry V.
2. Had an episode of sun poisoning and spent the entire summer in long-sleeved long nightgowns and a big floppy hat whenever I went outdoors. (You want total strangers to criticize your parenting? Take your five-year-old out like that in Detroit in August.)
3. Participated in a charity fun run wearing a classical tutu and rollerskates.

When I am not at work, I am so following that sun poisoning link! And probably making FK comments. :-)

I actually looked up the link because, although it's a layman's term and accurate enough, people seldom know what I mean by it.

My mom was charge nurse on her unit when I was living at home during the latter half of first season, when the Denver station stopped running FK. I usually got my tape from brainiacfive in Saturday's mail and got to watch it Sunday afternoon, and Mom semi-watched with me while doing timecards. She got a good chuckle out of one of the times Nick's "allergy" was mentioned, because that's precisely what I had: an allergic reaction to UV radiation.

I've had a couple of much milder instances since, but nothing like that time. MISERABLE.

I will confess I have never done any of those things.

(I bet you rawked as Princess Katherine.)

I was okay, I think. It probably doesn't matter, as I doubt anyone noticed anything but my Horrible Yellow Dress. (Polyester doubleknit, directly from about 1974. For outdoor theatre. In Ohio. In July.) It was a DREADFUL production. Which one can probably infer simply from the fact that one rather inexperienced 24-year-old was in fact given all three of those roles.

These days, it's mostly just fun to be able to say that I've played Henry Fitzroy's great-great-grandmother. ;->

2. I would get really sun-sensitive on antibiotics as a kid. I never had to go a whole summer like that, though! Definitely a win for you. :)

*rueful chuckle* Yeah, more than once I've had people look at the label on a sulfa antibiotic and go "Why does it say to avoid sun exposure?" And been able to tell them "You really don't want to find out!"
