ACK. Why would they move a *fashion* program to L.A.??

And I don't want Project Runway to move to Lifetime to be sandwiched between the rape/battered wife-movie-of-the-week! *whines* I've removed Lifetime from my channel lineup! Granted, "removed" as in "programed my remote to skip the channel," but it's the principle of the thing.

I'm "meh" about the L.A. thing -- they have had plenty of designers and at least one winner (Jeffrey) from there. It'll just seem wrong for them not to be working at the Parsons I know, tho.

I'm just trepidatious any time a show moves networks and people starting throwing words like "facelift" around without specifying what they mean.

Alas, I had to go and get hooked on Army Wives (back when I was lulled into believe they actually wanted to expand their demographic base a bit), so as much as I'd like to ignore their existence entirely, it ain't gonna happen.

< hypercynical >Unless the numbers for that slip, in which case I wouldn't be surprised if there's somebody waiting to pounce. Because those Roxy and Pamela chicks are just entirely too mouthy, and the entire group is way too non-victimy. :-P < /hypercynical >

I've seen references to Army Wives here and there. Not enough to be interested enough to check it out, but a few people do seem addicted to it. :D

I probably could have taken it or left it at the outset, but (a) I have a thing for Brigid Brannagh, and (b) Air Force brat. Ergo, doomed.

Oh Lord.

Yes, Lifetime will screw this up. Why does everyone think they have to put their own stamp on everything. Well at least they are keeping Tim Gunn right? He's what makes the show worth watching. There are so few real out gay people on tv that are good role models. Gunn is smart and accomplished. He is quick with the wit but it's not mean. I always feel he wants the designers to do their best work. As opposed to bitchy metrosexual Simon Cowell who seems to relish in his put-downs. Gunn is a great person for this show and without him it would just be a hot mess.

I may firmly believe Lifetime is dumb (and not only as a bitter Blood Ties fan), but even they aren't THAT dumb. Bravo went through some fairly major scheduling contortions to keep him for season 4, when he was like "Um, hi, I do actually have another job." That's why there was such a long break between 3 and 4. Everybody knows it wouldn't fly without him.

I actually ran across the linked article via this one. He's signed on.

I didn't think it was possible to be more annoyed with Lifetime! I would say hope for the best, but you know Lifetime...
