Shameless Plug Reminder

Final weekend, although it looks like it may become a once-a-month thing in the future, which would be fun.

My planned contributions include "The Girl in 14G." Come hear! (ETA: I will once again not be there until 7:30 or so, due to faerie boot camp.)

Last couple weeks have seen a killer turnout in a rather small restaurant with not a lot of staff, so it's recommended to arrive early and exercise patience. The food is really good once it arrives...

Yay you! Have fun.

I assume the Office of Lunch is a vast improvement on the Office of Doom??

How's beautiful Chicago this fine day?

Usually. It's a magical transformation that happens for an hour each day. ;-D

And it's been pretty nice the last few days. I missed the REALLY nice last weekend, of course, while I was in Colorado where it was in the 90s...

I love Chicago. I could live there. It was definitely one of my favourite places on my trip.

Colorado's great, too. Where did you go? I stayed with my friend in Fort Collins when I was there.. we did a lot of touristy stuff there, in Denver, and places like Breckenridge, etc.

So beautiful. I'm going back there in December. It'll be nice and snowy!

The Cookie cat sends you purrs, btw!

My parents live in Conifer, about 45 minutes southwest of Denver. Mostly I was at my high school reunion in Bennett, about half an hour east.

I was just there for the weekend, but I lived there from when I was 11 until after college. :-)

I had no idea! It's a great place. You've lived in two of my favourite places in the US! Lucky you!

My friend was driving us around going "And our state animal is the big horned sheep... you hear about them all the time, but you don't see them much." Then we drove around the bend, and there was one just munching by the side of the road!!! Craziness!!

I went a little overboard with the snow shots and the pics of elk!
