Lucinda Hawksley in Chicago and NYC

Another thing I keep forgetting: Lucinda Hawksley (author of Lizzie Siddal: Face of the Pre-Raphaelites, as it's published over here) is in the U.S. this week on a mini-tour connected with her new biography of Charles Dickens.

It had to be my tech week, of course (*pout*), but I'm not the only one around to whose Interests this is Relevant. She's just come from Dickens on the Strand in Galveston, TX, and will be at River Forest Public Library tomorrow at 7 pm, and at Pete's Tavern in Manhattan at noon Friday. Full schedule (including all over the UK, as usual) at her website.

Too bad she isn't scheduled to be interviewed by an NPR person on her book tour. Ah, well...

Too bad indeed! There are other interviews linked from her news page, including one to a podcast from the Leeds Book Club when they read the Lizzie biography earlier this year.

But it would indeed to great to hear her on NPR sometime!
