It never fails

Contingent on her schedule, it is very likely that I will be meeting Lucinda Hawksley for coffee next week.

Guess what book I still can't find?

In the process of turning the library upside down for it again, of course, I did find the book whose title I couldn't remember after telling a fellow actor about it at a play reading in August. I've had his email sitting in my inbox ever since. (For the record, that would be Squeaking Cleopatras: The Elizabethan Boy Player by Joy Leslie Gibson.)

*sigh* Ah, well. I'll hold off buying another one until I confirm plans with her. (Surely I can find it somewhere in London, and if not, I'll live.) And then sell the other one when I inevitably find it within days of coming home, or at the very least the next time I'm hunting for another book. %-}

I'm so jealous. Really jealous. Lizzie obsession forever and ever.

I'm still kind of going ~meep~ that she contacted me out of the blue on Twitter, after I was explaining to someone about Unvarnished (the one-woman show I've been attempting to write for, like, eight years).

Of course, I haven't done squat on it since then, because my brain has been full of Resonance, so I feel like a big ol' impostor. But she's super-nice online, so I'm not really nervous. Just slightly guilty that I haven't gotten further with the script!

Isn't that how it always happens. You'll get a new copy, and then find it. Most likely somewhere in plain sight too.

That is so cool! :) Let me know what cafe you end up in; I'm looking for a decent non-chain one in London. (The Forum is nice, but it's across from the British Museum so it can be rather busy).

She mentioned something about being at the V&A, so I expect it'll be somewhere near there. If not actually in the museum, for convenience's sake.

Still cranky that the V&A Fashion Gallery is closed for renovations. :-(

:( if you had more time in-country I'd take you to Bath's fashion museum...
