This suffers a bit from the glowy-filter addiction that seems to be so prevalent on YouTube, and I'm not a fan of dialogue cuts (however well-chosen) with vocals still going underneath. But the construction of each woman's (i.e. Annie, Lizzie, and Effie) arc, and the contrast among them, is so clear, and there are some great rhythmic choices. Interesting juxtaposition of contemporary music and period source, too.

I'm curious where she found this version of "Airplanes," with a woman's voice (possibly also Hayley Williams?) doing new rap sections adapted from Paramore's "Misery Business." Neither track by itself really does it for me, but I'd love to know who made such a brilliant hybrid. Edit: Still don't know who made the mashup, but it's here. According to the description on this YouTube version, it mashes several Paramore songs along with an instrumental version of "Airplanes." Mashups blow my mind; this sounds totally pro, and like it was always intended to be that way.

On YouTube.
