Tell me someone has written the fic...

...with the paintball. And why George refuses to do it again.

Because I don't want to write it, but I really want to read it.

remind me of the context? I only have copies of 2.4-2.8.

Totally incidental comment, in the scene where the boys end up freaking out about The Real Hustle being rescheduled. Annie says they need to bond, and George says he won't do paintball again, "not after last time."

hmm...can a paintball gun explode or something? Because I'm seeing George trying to load one and, well, there went that shirt.

The gun wouldn't, but the ammo might.

hmm...I'm seeing paint splattered all over George's shirt and face when he tries to load the ammo. 'Well...I guess I'm just dead then!'

*chuckle* That would be his luck...

That line caught my attention, too. :-) Good scene!

Mitchell has been an actual soldier, and while the technology is obviously different, I bet that his aim is so much better than George's that George ended up pummeled and bruised (paint gun blasts hurt, I understand).

But Annie would have wanted to play with them. Could she? I mean, she can touch things, but things can't always touch her. And would it have been while she was visible or invisible to others? It might be that they would have had to change the rules in some way to accommodate her in the game, and that this would be the source of hilarity and George's lingering pseudo-trauma...

I've since run across one, but it was unfortunately unmemorable. I like your scenario. :-)

I bet that his aim is so much better than George's

Not to mention he's Mitchell, and has been known to get... overexuberant.
