RAM-a-lam-a-ding-dong

Lame subject line, happy Val. One 256MB module out, two 512s in, which is all the Dimension 2350 will take. Easy breezy (those recommendations for Crucial.com on the Dell boards? Believe 'em), and I can already tell a difference just at startup and loading web pages. Now to put it through its paces with Nero WaveEditor and Adobe apps...

In unrelated news, I am severely coveting Musetta's cafe dress in the Opera Australia/Baz Luhrmann La Bohème. Is it bad that I dream of being in something directed by him just so Catherine Martin would dress me?

Argh. This reminds me that I need to ask Asset Management at work whether they have spare memory chips. I *need* a whole new computer, but my employer has gone all reluctant to spend money (while bemoaning their customers' reluctance to spend money, of course). Extra memory will keep me going.

Yeah, a new computer is definitely not something we want moving up the budget priority list when we just bought brainiacfive's two years ago. Eliminating most of the lag time with $50 worth of memory is MUCH preferable.
