Music music music!

After much twiddling and tweaking -- not to mention discovery of awesome new-to-me music thanks to you lot's suggestions -- the "Go Girl" playlist is, well, a go! It's now set up as a public playlist on MySpace here. The only song missing is "How Strange," as Emilie Autumn only has a handful of tracks available there. (In case you're curious, it should be between "One Step Ahead" and "Rock What You Got.") A lot of suggestions that didn't end up feeling quite right for this playlist have gone into another one, currently dubbed "Defiance," that I'll probably finalize and share in the next few weeks.

And yes, this is what I've been doing this evening instead of writing a real post. The brain is tired. Long shoot day yesterday, but fun. The exteriors will happen another day, what with the deluge and all, so there's more Intrepid Reporting to look forward to.

Today there was watching of the Watchmen (micro-review: Good. Long. Unexpected Laura Mennell is unexpected. Laurie's costume is extraordinarily unflattering.), followed by Lump On the Couch With Delightfully Cheesy 90s Syndicated TV Time. Which is now. As noted in my Divababble post yesterday morning, the spring student film casting blitz looks to be winding down, so I'll have some evenings at home for a while. Mayhaps I shall even *gasp* post a bit of fannishness now and again!

In the meantime, enjoy the tunes!

Next one I'm doing is the 22nd. I haven't signed up for April dates yet, but I'll probably do three. (Doing every possible week is getting to be a bit wearing.)

It's good to see you post. :-) I'll look forward to more from you when you have had more space for sleep and reflection!

I would have seen Watchmen with Abby this weekend, I'm sure. But I'm... uninterested? now. It will reach the library in due course... Hmmmm. I'm weird.

Ooh! *loves new-to-me music* I discovered Idina Menzel's "I Stand" this weekend in a Lois Lane vid. Is the rest of the album similar? I hate discovering the one song on an album I like.

"I Stand" is definitely my favorite track, but I love the whole album, and it's very much all in that vein. I'm pretty sure you can listen to all of it on her MySpace page. "Brave" and "Perfume and Promises" are probably my other favorites. Her first album, Still I Can't Be Still is more eclectic and offbeat, but you might like it too.
