Opening weekend

(Yes, I was home the last two evenings, and proceeded to spend them planted firmly in front of the TV. And it was glorious. So there. *g*)

First three shows went great. They've been packed to the gills, especially Sunday's matinee, so if you're planning to come, I strongly recommend buying tickets in advance. (Details in this post.) If that's absolutely not practical, you'll still be able to get them at the door (they've been preselling 300-400, and house capacity is 850), but get there plenty early because the lines have been loooooooooong.

Also, there are now cast parties scheduled after this Saturday and Sunday (1/21 & 1/22), so come to different ones if possible so I can hang out with you after!

I've been surprised not to see more little girls in Belle dresses. So far the record is three at one show (and two of those were the Beast's daughters). Lots of dolls along for the ride, tho. *g*

I wish you could be too! {{ hugs back }}

The turnout is not terribly surprising -- the choice of show pretty much guarantees it. :-)

Sounds like you're having a blast...that's great!

Have you decide what to do after this show closes? I seem to recall reading an earlier post where you were considering taking a break for a while and finishing your basement.

Basement project is actually done (had to be, so I'd have a sewing room for the costumes I volunteered to help with on this one -- there is still some more organizing of the workspace to do, tho). Although it was successful enough that we're probably going to put the same wall coating gunk on the end under the porch (where the worst efflorescence is, because a section of the porch concrete has settled on a slight incline toward the house), and do the rest of the floor in the same two-part epoxy paint. They're not as high in priority as simply getting the place CLEAN for a change, tho. Or doing window treatments. Or getting the spare room and library finally organized. Or, or, or. ;-)

Am still taking stock of things this week, but am about 99% sure I'm going to skip Godspell for sure. Other possibilities still up in the air, but some kind of break is probably wise.

Window treatments...ya. I'm still working on those myself. I've got all the rooms in the house save the 3 bedrooms upstairs organized. Those 3 are going to take some time to sort through, so I feel your pain! ;)

Good luck with whatever you do, but in my humble, it sounds like a break would be good for you. ;)
