Good enough for me and Lorelei Lee

First store-bought costume, and LAST.

Sure, it looks great. It also has the back panel being held together by packing tape on the inside. Because it ripped (ripped, next to the seam -- the seam itself is of course perfectly intact, industrial serging being considerably stronger than cheapass low-end acetate satin...) when I got up out of my chair. After I'd been wearing the *$(#& thing for an hour and a half. And it's not even tight!

Also, one of these days I will learn to SET OUT THE CAMERA THE NIGHT BEFORE. *facepalm* It's not like I didn't know I'd end up running late this morning, what with the marked departure from routine. And therefore was guaranteed to forget it.

There is one other person in costume. (Who has now lost her bunny tail twice. Apparently our office is under some sort of costume backside curse.) This is a pretty laid-back place in general, but geez, these people are boring about Halloween! Although BossLady's sister came in to visit with toddler niece in absofrellinglutely adorable plushie pumpkin outfit. Too. Cute.

Haven't found out if anyone here has a camera. If they don't, and nobody at rehearsal does either (I must of course make the Entrance there -- neither the gloves nor the Great Big Bustle Bow is exactly compatible with work), will have to spruce up when I get home and have brainiacfive snap a few.

I read my schedule wrong the other day, and thought I wasn't called until 8:30, which would allow me to go home and give treats to kidlets before rehearsal. Checked again yesterday, and no such luck. *pout* First Halloween in a neighborhood where we actually expect to get a lot of kids, and I'm missing them, darnit! (Still disappointed that I didn't get ONE last year. I mean, okay, apartment complex with mostly seniors. But surely some of them have grandkids! And the residential area around the complex is prime Safe Suburbia!) Want. See. Kids!! *pout*

{{hugs}} I can't imagine working where it wasn't allowed. Even at Vickie's I wore funky witch tights...

I've never worked in a place that allowed them. My current boss outlawed costumes because "they're unprofessional and take away from productivity."

:: blows big raspberry in boss' direction ::

Okay, yeah, that's unprofessional too. But still!

I work in a theatre. We never dress up. Go figure (I guess our sort do enough of that in real life. Except for those of us who don't).

Silly, silly people. This is the day they get to PICK! ;-D

Participation at BalletMet was always good among the staff and mostly nonexistent among the dancers. But we had to change before Academy classes started in the afternoon, because we had some very conservative parents who objected to Halloween in general. :-/
