She's baa-aack!

*waves*

Ambercon fun. Hotel STILL being renovated. Something hideous in air making everyone sick. But, fun nonetheless.

Two games in which I contributed to cataclysmic destruction (an outing to go parasailing from Tir-Na-Nog'th, which turned into invading Kashfa and obliterating the Keep of the Four Worlds before morning; and a non-Amber game based on Warren Ellis' Planetary and The Authority in which I played Jenny Sparks and managed to destroy several parallel versions of Mars simultaneously).

One hilarious and exceedingly politically incorrect game in which I mostly sat back and snarked, except for when I parked a van on a very annoyed demon named Fritz.

One game in which we broke the GM by accomplishing our objective far more effectively by actually using diplomacy, just like Uncle Random told us, when he (the GM, not Random...no, actually, Random did too, especially after that one Trump call...) fully expected all hell to break loose any TIME now. He even threw Dalt at us. We responded by inventing tactical dancing. It was a beautiful, beautiful thing.

(Incidentally, this was the same GM we broke in the Planetary game by winding up with a substantial portion of the action taking place in Kansas. "I would like to point out that Kansas does not appear ANYWHERE on my notes." Fortunately for said GM, he seems to enjoy it.)

I was even a good girl and wrote during the slots I wasn't playing in, and got more writing done before looking at my email and LJ when we got home today. And I'm going to go do more of it now. Bye!

Sounds like a good time was had!

I remember back when someone on the ambulance tried to run a D&D game ... this guy was a little twisted, too. That ended when someone made a tactical blunder, GM arranged for him to get messed up, and the argument spilled into Real Life. To the point where the guy got his car keys frozen into a block of ice in the freezer...

You ever encounter the game Paranoia? (total free-association)

Yikes. Yup, people who should not game. *wince*

"The Computer is your friend!"

Only actually played it once, in college, but you gotta love any RPG in which you go in expecting to have your character killed multiple times.

Mind you, with the way we played Call of Cthulhu, we were already well familiar with that concept...
